Moritz started his professional career with the Nigerian Export Import Bank (NEXIM), Lagos in 1991 as an Export Credit Officer. He was subsequently appointed the Executive Director at Edge Integrated Consultancy Services Limited, Lagos with responsibilities for Export Business Development and Finance Strategy.

He left this position in 1998 to become the Chief Executive Officer of Strides Energy and Maritime Limited, a company he founded in 1992.

He holds an Executive MBA from Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Executive MBA in Shipping, Offshore and Finance from BI Norwegian Business School, BSc Business Administration – Insurance, University of Lagos, Nigeria.

Moritz is an Alumnus of Harvard Business School, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. Lagos Business School (CEP 19), Pan Atlantic University, Lagos, Nigeria. He is a member of the Institute of Directors (IoD), Nigeria and has over 30 Years experience in Maritime Commercial Management, Corporate Finance, asset expansion, upstream oil and gas business development.

Moritz is a past president of Lagos Business School Alumni Association South East/ South South Nigeria.
